Birds in Germany

There are TONS of birds in Germany!!!  I LOVED birding and my birding group in Japan and have yet to find a group like that here.  That is sad.  But  what is happy is we brought our cool feed Jim built in Japan and German birds love it just as much.  Here are some birds we have here.  We also have hawks, falcons, owls, woodpeckers, flickers, blackbirds (the fat ones that would be good in a pie!), and many others.  My current favorite are Northern Lapwings which have a little topnotch, fly around the fields very erratically, and have a song (in the spring at least) like one of those cheap plastic whistles that you slide the noise control in and out.
